TRT co-production 'Triangle of Sadness' nominated for Oscar best picture

At the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony scheduled for March 12, "Triangle of Sadness" has also been nominated for best original screenplay, and its director Ruben Ostlund has been nominated for best director.

Three nominations for Oscars, including best picture, have been given to Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and director Ruben Ostlund's satirical movie "Triangle of Sadness."

Tuesday, Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams revealed the nominees from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater of the Academy in Beverly Hills, California.

Recent European Film Awards (EFA) winners "Triangle of Sadness" took home prizes for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Male Performance for actor Zlatko Buri.

The movie stars models and the super-wealthy on a cruise ship, only for their position to be abruptly undercut by unanticipated circumstances. It also won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
